Thermodynamics & Statistical Mechanics
Thermodynamics- The Thermodynamics is that branch of Engineering - science which deals with the energies possessed by gases and vapors. It also includes the conversion of these energies in terms of heat and mechanical work and their relationship with properties of the system.
In Simple Word🤷♂️
👉 Thermodynamics is the branch of Physics that deals with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy. In particular, it describes how thermal energy is converted to and from other forms of energy and how it affects matter.
Statistical thermodynamics- The primary goal of statistical thermodynamics (also known as equilibrium statistical mechanics) is to derive the classical thermodynamics of materials in terms of the properties of their constituent particles and the interactions between them.
Statistical mechanics grew out of an earlier field called thermodynamics, which was concerned with the thermal properties of liquids and gasses. It grew up around it, and then subsumed it.
